In this painting, I wanted to capture the distinctive atmosphere of Paris along the Seine, looking toward the Pont d'Arcole, where the city's historic architecture and the quiet movement of the river come together.
What particularly attracted me to this scene was the interplay of light and shadow across the bridge and the surrounding buildings. The warm illumination of the stonework contrasts with the cool blues and grays of the sky and water, while the reflections beneath the arches bring a subtle sense of movement to the scene.
I have always been fascinated by the way light transforms the familiar architecture of Paris, particularly along the Seine, where the bridges, buildings, and river seem inseparable from the character of the city. Here, I sought to capture not simply the appearance of a Parisian bridge, but also the atmosphere and timeless beauty of a city whose history is reflected in the waters flowing through its heart.
