Woman with Red Scarf
In this painting, I wanted to capture a fleeting moment of everyday life, as a woman seated at a counter appears engaged in conversation with someone across from her.
What particularly attracted me to the scene was the woman's expressive gesture and the striking contrast of her red scarf against her dark clothing. The warm oranges and muted greens of the surroundings create an intimate atmosphere, while the two figures suggest a conversation whose details are left to the imagination.
I have always been fascinated by the small, unposed moments that reveal something of the character and rhythm of daily life. A gesture, a posture, or an unexpected combination of colors can transform an otherwise ordinary encounter into something memorable.
Here, I sought to capture that brief moment of human interaction, leaving the viewer to wonder about the conversation taking place.
