A Moment to Herself — Angelina, Paris, France
In this painting, I wanted to capture a quiet, intimate moment inside Angelina, the celebrated Parisian tea salon on the Rue de Rivoli, where a woman sits alone, seemingly absorbed in her own thoughts.
What particularly attracted me to the scene was the contrast between the stillness of the solitary figure and the elegance of her surroundings. The softly illuminated chandeliers, repeated in the large mirror, create a sense of depth and atmosphere, while the warm light and muted colors lend a feeling of tranquility to the room.
There is something particularly appealing about these moments of solitude in the midst of a busy city. Even in a place as celebrated as Angelina, one can find a quiet corner in which to withdraw, if only briefly, from the activity of the world outside.
I have always been drawn to such fleeting moments of everyday life, when a simple gesture or an unguarded posture suggests a story that remains untold. Here, I sought to capture not merely the beauty of a Parisian interior, but the peaceful intimacy of a woman enjoying a moment entirely to herself.
